Total Classroom Transformation at UNC Chapel Hill
We’re so proud of the response that our work at Carroll 111 has garnered from both students and faculty! Our work included a total transformation of a general education auditorium-style classroom at Carroll Hall. Our team provided general contracting services for the interior renovation of classroom and corridor space on the ground and first floors of UNC’s Carroll Hall, home to the University’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media. The space, named the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation Lecture Hall, features a state-of-the-art tiered classroom space outfitted with 14 high-definition, independent multimedia screens and reconfigurable classroom furnishings which facilitate cooperative learning spaces that encourage student collaboration and peer teaching.
The Lecture Hall is one of the first classrooms on the UNC Chapel Hill campus to be fully renovated into a technology-enabled active learning environment.
