Annual Retreat 2025
The Muter Construction team headed to the coast for our 2025 Annual Company Retreat, held at the Islander Hotel in beautiful Emerald Isle. With a long weekend full of connection, learning and some well-earned coastal R&R, it was the perfect mix of strategy and team spirit!
We kicked off the meeting with breakfast and a warm welcome from Beth and John Muter, followed by company updates and new employee introductions (14 new team members this year!). Guest speaker Keith Coltrain of Wall Templeton delivered an engaging session on ethics and the importance of documentation in our industry.
The day included a packed agenda—preconstruction outlooks, a subcontractor panel with our amazing industry partners, updates on employee benefits and IT tools and a look at Muter’s safety priorities. Teams also broke out into department-specific sessions for deeper dives into their work.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed a fun and insightful introduction to the DiSC personal development tool, helping team members better understand communication styles and strengths. DiSC will become an integral part of our project delivery system – stay tuned!
The meeting wrapped up with a relaxed dinner at the Big House on Ocean Drive, giving everyone time to unwind and reflect on the day. Saturday brought the FUN with golf, fishing and some beautiful beach time, finishing with a fantastic dinner featuring local seafood!
With collaboration, laughter and forward momentum, the 2025 retreat reinforced what makes Muter Construction special—strong relationships, shared goals and a people-first culture. CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE!
