ECSU Flight School

Muter Construction is acting as the Construction Manager for Elizabeth City State University‘s new state-of-the-art Flight School. The project includes an on-campus facility that will house the entire Department of Aviation and Emergency Management and up to three hangars at a local airport. The Aviation Program includes diverse concentrations, including Avionics, Aviation Management, Flight Education, Professional Aeronautics/Air Traffic Control and Unmanned Aircraft Systems.

As the only four-year collegiate aviation education program in the State of North Carolina, ECSU offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Science and is certified by the FAA as a Part 141 Flight Training Program. Graduates will be well prepared to enter the workforce, where the median annual wages range from $54,000 to $83,000 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).
