UNC Chapel Hill Marsico Hall Vivarium Expansion
Muter Construction is currently undergoing construction on the 4,500 sf retrofit and expansion of the UNC Chapel Hill Vivarium. The renovations will include creating holding rooms for large animals, flexible procedure/holding rooms, vivarium service corridor, improved toilet/locker arrangement, expanded break area, improved supervisor access, and visual connection to non-vivarium corridors. The scope of work includes demolition of floors, walls, ceilings, and finishes on the basement level. Construction will include new partition walls, ceilings, doors and frames, view windows, durable epoxy and resinous flooring finishes, fire protection, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical tie-ins and services.
