Harrison Center for Active Aging

Selma, North Carolina

The Harrison Center for Active Aging included renovation of the existing middle building of the historic Richard B. Harrison High School in Selma, North Carolina. The historic structure included 6,000 sf which was renovated to serve as a senior center for the town.

The project was bid in October 2013, but bids came in more than $160,000 over budget. Working with the design team of Hite Associates and the town, Muter Construction was able to value engineer more than $160,000 out of the initial bid and enable the project to move forward.
